MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police has welcomed a challenge from Malacañang, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The police force said it will pursue the arrest warrant against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, and that his former position as police chief and personal ties will not stand in the way of law enforcement. In remarks reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the PNP said Malacañang’s challenge reinforces a fundamental principle of law.
