The Times of India reported that Assistant Commissioner Manasvi Vashistha has been suspended after taking part in a protest against his transfer, with Inspector Arun Kumar also involved. The demonstration took place following an incident at Shahdara police station involving lawyers, in which an advocate suffered a serious injury, according to the report. Before the protest, Vashistha had advocated for clearer procedures governing interactions between police and lawyers. Police characterised the demonstration as an interaction, the Times of India reported.
