According to the Times of India, a Maryland appeals court has directed a fresh trial over a $3.2 million trust involving three sisters. The court pointed to procedural mistakes in the earlier proceedings that kept two sisters from introducing important handwritten evidence linked to the trust, the Times of India reported. The sisters had alleged undue influence by their sister, identified as the principal beneficiary, and the appeals court highlighted problems with testimony permitted and evidence excluded at the previous trial.
