The Guardian reported that the K-pop group NewJeans entered agreements with their record label that did not include protections for sleep, rest and free choice. According to the report, a New York Times investigation found the contracts were signed while members were minors, between the ages of 14 and 17, and that the label Ador removed child protections from the terms.
