The Guardian reported an interview with actor Rory Kinnear held in his dressing room at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London. According to the Guardian, Kinnear's father Roy died in an accident on set when Kinnear was 10 years old. The report said the loss influenced how he approaches acting and how he understands the most important questions in life. The Guardian described Kinnear as bald and plain-looking at first glance, and noted that his acting does not rely on dramatic physical changes, such as major weight loss or gain, or frequent use of prosthetics or CGI. Despite that, the report said each character he plays seems completely different. The interviewer told the Guardian they had just watched Kinnear perform on stage and had spent the previous week reviewing his film and television appearances, but did not recognise him in person. They described him as six feet tall and more muscular than he appears in his roles.
