Post Oak Ridge has opened for visitors as the newest addition to the Texas state park system, according to the Times of India. The park covers more than 3,000 acres beside the Colorado River and is being developed with support from a $1 billion fund. At opening, visitors can use two hiking trails that together follow four miles of scenic routes. Additional amenities are still to come, with camping facilities and river access planned for completion by 2029. The Times of India reported that community input played a central role in shaping the park, which forms part of a broader push to increase public outdoor space throughout Texas.
