The Times of India reported that the National Medical Commission has given formal approval for NEET postgraduate admissions to move away from percentiles and instead rank candidates. The proposed change is intended to strengthen how admissions to postgraduate medical courses are handled, the report said. It follows worries about a potential fall in the qualifying marks for NEET-PG 2025, according to the Times of India. The commission also emphasised protecting the credibility of medical examinations and put forward a proposal for fairer pay arrangements for residents, the Times of India reported.
