The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that passengers in Manila will be able to travel on the Light Rail Transit 1 without paying on Monday, November 9, Wednesday, November 11, and Friday, November 13. The free service will run for two hours twice a day during those dates, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The measure comes as roads are closed in connection with preparations for the 49th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit. The Department of Tourism said commuters may take advantage of the free rides next week, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.
