The Guardian reported that Binance has revealed how attackers carried out a $6.3bn (£4.7bn) theft from the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, using fake job interviews, malicious software and an internal AI tool. According to the Guardian, the company said the operation started in June after malware was accidentally downloaded, continued in September with a recruitment scam, and culminated last week with a raid on "hot wallets" holding billions of dollars in crypto-assets.
