According to NASA, a new view from the Hubble Space Telescope offers insight into the history of our galaxy. The agency said the image, produced jointly with ESA, was released on November 5, 2026. The glittering group pictured is Messier 30, also called M30. NASA reported that the name honors Charles Messier, a French astronomer who cataloged the cluster along with other diffuse objects that early telescopes of his time could mistake for comets.
