The government's pledge to turn around rising obesity rates in England over the next decade is set to fail unless the prime minister personally spearheads a major reset, a cross‑party committee of MPs has found. The Guardian reported that MPs concluded the current strategy needs a fresh plan driven by direct leadership from Downing Street if the decade‑long ambition is to stand any chance of success.
