MANILA, Philippines — House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III said Thursday he supports proposals to make the national budget process more transparent, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported. In a statement cited by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Dy said Filipinos have a right to know how public funds are allocated and spent. He also said the House is open to disclosing supporting documents for government projects and to making budget deliberations more subject to public scrutiny.
