The Guardian reported that National Trust members have voted to seek a new banking partner, after a long-running disagreement over whether its current arrangement fits with its environmental mission. At the charity's annual general meeting on Saturday, the resolution passed overwhelmingly and had the support of its board of trustees, according to the Guardian. The vote instructs the organisation to launch a competitive tendering process for its banking arrangements, following criticism of Barclays' fossil fuel investments.
