The outlet reported that machine-generated submissions made up about three-quarters of all feedback received during the consultation on the tobacco and vapes bill. Researchers described it as what they believe is the first coordinated use of AI to oppose a UK health policy. The automated responses did not prevent the legislation from advancing.
