Lawyers for Vice President Sara Duterte have asked for subpoenas for 25 people they intend to call for the defense in her impeachment trial, the Senate impeachment court confirmed on Thursday, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The court said the defense team filed the request on November 4, 2026, ahead of its scheduled presentation of exhibits from November 9 to November 13 on the vice president's alleged unexplained wealth, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.
