According to the Times of India, three militants died during fighting between rival Zeliangrong groups in Noney district in Manipur. The Times of India reported the violence followed claims that one of the groups was working with security forces. Separately, passenger vehicles came under fire in Ukhrul, but no one was hurt in that incident. The Manipur government has taken steps aimed at bringing calm, including setting up local peace committees, the Times of India reported.
