The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that a court in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, has imposed a fine on a former senior cabin crew member from AirAsia. The decision, delivered on Oct. 29 by the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 1, concerned an incident in 2017 involving deaf passenger Khalil Haj. The court concluded there was no genuine safety concern that justified the different treatment he received because of his disability, and the former crew member was penalized for refusing to transport him.
