VnExpress International reported that Singaporean diplomat Rena Lee came first in a United Nations vote held on Nov. 3. The result makes her the first person from Singapore to join the International Court of Justice, which serves as the United Nations' top court. She also becomes the first woman from Southeast Asia elected to the court.
