The Guardian reported that EU governments are pressing Britain to make a stronger commitment on university charges for students from Europe ahead of an important summit scheduled for this month. According to the Guardian, at least six member states raised the issue during a Wednesday meeting of senior EU diplomats, urging London to state clearly before the summit that EU students would be charged at the lower domestic rate. The Guardian reported that members warned a food and drink agreement could be held up if no deal is reached on tuition fees for EU citizens studying in the UK.
