A 20-year-old man lost his life in Quezon province after part of a bus hit him as he stood by the road hoping to catch a trip to the capital, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported, citing police. The incident happened in Barangay Tagbakin in Atimonan shortly after midnight on Thursday, at about 12:20 a.m., while the victim was waiting for a Manila-bound bus. Authorities said the cover over the engine came loose from a bus passing by and struck the young man.
