The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that Senator Loren Legarda filed Senate Resolution No. 759 on Friday, asking the Senate to look into claims that the remains of dogs and cats were dumped in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. In remarks quoted by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Legarda said, "Our pets are cherished members of our families." The report also described her characterization of the alleged dumping as unconscionable. The Philippine Daily Inquirer also noted her reference to entrusting pet remains to a cremation service.
