According to the Guardian, Wales beat Japan 28-21 in a home Nations Championship match on Saturday and claimed a bonus point. The Guardian reported that the hosts looked flat at times and kept Japan involved. The Guardian also said head coach Steve Tandy refused to dismiss concerns about the performance. Tandy, according to the Guardian, wants more from the team ahead of the Test in New Zealand. Josh Adams scored two tries for Wales, while Archie Griffin and Louis Rees-Zammit crossed. The Guardian reported that Wales had to show desperation in the closing moments to stop Japan from scoring an equalising try and forcing a draw.
