ABC News Australia reported that 3M has agreed to pay more than US$7 billion to settle a groundwater contamination lawsuit. The chemical manufacturer will make the payments over nine years, according to ABC News Australia. The settlement covers as many as 120,000 people who say they were harmed by exposure to PFAS.
