The Times of India reported that Emil Michael of the Pentagon pointed to shortcomings in US military readiness brought into focus during the fighting between Ukraine and Russia. According to the Times of India, the United States supplied extensive assistance, yet Ukraine frequently had to design and build the equipment it required on its own, including drone technology that America did not already have. The report also said the Pentagon's reserves of drones are far smaller than the production levels Ukraine is aiming for as the war continues. Looking ahead, the Times of India said future US planning will stress adjusting to changing forms of warfare, with attention also given to fighting in underground environments and in space.
