A 15-year-old poet from Chennai has received national recognition for her work celebrating the natural world, according to the Times of India. K. B. Kiruthikarani has released two poetry collections containing a combined total of 160 poems. Her debut collection, Dewdrops: A Gallery of Nature Poetry, was published in 2023, and she followed it in 2024 with Earthen Writes: The Diary of an Earthling. The India Book of Records honoured Kiruthikarani at age 15 for the achievement, recognising the depth of her affection for nature expressed through her verse.
