A village official in Maguindanao del Sur survived a shooting after an unidentified gunman opened fire on him in Datu Piang on Friday, Nov. 6, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported, citing police. The victim was identified by Capt. Steffi Salanguit, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, as Abdul Manab Guialodin, a village councilor of Barangay Liong. Guialodin sustained several gunshot wounds during the attack, according to the report.
