The Guardian reported that an independent panel has decided against launching another inquiry into allegations of sexual harassment involving Liberal Democrat peer Chris Rennard, saying it was unable to reopen the case. Party leader Ed Davey told the Guardian he felt "disappointed and upset" in response to the panel's conclusion. Davey had suspended Rennard from the party earlier this year, when the investigation was reopened following claims that an earlier inquiry had been flawed.
