MercoPress reported that Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has presented his re-election on October 25 as a message with broader significance. He described the result as a lesson for the world, and connected it to recent electoral setbacks for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump. In remarks attributed to him by MercoPress, Lula said: "In the same week, Netanyahu lost in Israel and I think my friend Trump is losing in the United States." He made the comments on Thursday during a live broadcast on YouTube, according to MercoPress.
