MANILA, Philippines — According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro raised questions about the defense team's handling of a proposed witness in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. Luistro asked whether Duterte's lawyers had failed to consult a former law school dean before requesting a subpoena to have him testify for the defense. She made the remarks on Thursday as the academician declined to appear, adding that she was surprised by the situation.
